INTERWORLD
2025
Interactive audiovisual environment · Spatial sound
INTERWORLD is an interactive audiovisual environment situated between material presence and virtual transformation. Emerging from remnants, debris, and geological fragments, the work brings objects, projection, and spatial sound into a coexisting, responsive system. Through direct physical contact, visitors shape both the visual and sonic dimensions of the environment.
The installation consists of six interactive objects derived from three-dimensional scans of stones—geological forms that preserve traces of the Earth’s earliest formative processes. Recreated through 3D printing, these objects reveal qualities often overlooked in their original state. Their manipulation influences virtual counterparts projected in space, while sound responds synchronously, moving within a spherical multichannel sound dome according to the object’s rotation.
Rooted in natural forms yet mediated through digital processes, INTERWORLD creates a hybrid perceptual space in which material and virtual realities reflect and transform one another.
