“Land Expressions” for saxophone quartet (2012-2013)

The international characteristic of the quartet is the starting point for the concept of this work. Land Expressions is based in five paintings linked to the country of origin of each saxophonist plus mine, the composer. The emotional qualities of the work of Paul Klee, José Gutiérrez Solana, José Clemete Orozco, Vincent Van Gogh and Oluf Høst are present in the dramatic curve and structural design of the piece. The digital scenography is a work by artist Emmanuel Flores in colaboration.
